Breaking: Mr.Beer Gives up Bachelorhood
In case you missed it, this week we rocked the brewing world with the exciting news that Mr.Beer is joining forces with Australian brewing giant Coopers Brewery, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. For the past few months, as we’ve worked and planned to make sure everything would be perfect all while keeping our lips sealed, we’ve been like kids waiting for Christmas. We even created an advent calendar, with a different beer to mark each day we got closer to making it a reality. Ok, maybe we didn’t do that last part. But we could have! We have, certainly, sampled many a different beer as we toiled unwaveringly on exciting new flavors of malt designed to enhance and improve your Mr.Beer brewing experience.
We’ve met some fantastic, inspiring and just plain fun members of the wonderful Coopers family, and I, for one, am pretty convinced that we’ve found our long-lost homebrew soul-mates. Just like us, they love their jobs, and they also know how to have a lot of fun. With that and other similarities in our respective core values, it feels like we were made for them. Ok, that last part sounded a little chick-flick-ish. But what can I say? I am a chick. In any case, it’s just important for us to express to you guys how much of a perfect marriage this really is. I mean, I know you love us just as we are, but Coopers, with their size, reach, ingenuity, and quality, are going to make Mr.Beer even better than we already are.
I know, I know, you didn’t think it was possible. Well, we’re flattered, you charmer, you; but trust me: you’re gonna really like some of the changes that are coming around.
But first, let us assure you about some things that simply aren’t going to change. Coopers likes us how we are (as it should be in any good courtship), which means that you can still expect the dedication to customer service and quality you’ve come to expect from us. You don’t need to purchase a new kit, or different equipment. You don’t have a new number to call, or even different people to deal with. It’s still us, here for you. If luck is preparation meeting opportunity, then Mr.Beer’s preparation has just met its opportunity.
Still, the day we stop trying to improve is the day we give up, and we are not quitters, so do expect some fantastic new changes.
Coopers has helped Mr.Beer usher in the era of the best malt extract beer you can brew. The malt produced by their brewers is a result of 150 years of brewing experience as well as the finest hops, grains and water, and is reduced by a spin extraction which preserves more hop aroma and malt flavor than most any other method.
