For The Love Of Brewing
The biggest and fastest built craft brewery in America has just been erected in – where else – the land of sun-drenched movie stars and over-the-top excitement, or, as you and I know it, sunny Los Angeles, California. It's called Golden Road Brewing, and it's a testament to grandeur with its cavernous rooms and crazy amount of barrels and equipment. And hey – there's nothing wrong with that. The brewery looks fantastic ( click here to see more images ) - all cavernous and shiny and chromy...sure makes a pretty picture. But for all the hype and crazy amounts of space, I couldn't help thinking, they're really not doing much more than our own Mr.Beer brewers do everyday.
Hippity Hoppity, Sleep Is On Its Way
I ran across this absurd posting in some forum today about a guy who made a pillow out of hops. But it turns out that it was not, in fact, so very absurd. I googled “hop pillow” and got a bunch of children's hippity hop rabbit brand pillows or whatever – not what we're looking for. But once I discovered the German word for “hop pillow,” (Hopfenkissen) the results led straight to what I was looking for. Which I guess is a bit telling – this hop pillow thing must be a much more common practice in countries like Germany, which are steeped in the tradition of brewing and the abundant growth of hops. You can buy them all over online – mostly from various foreign websites like this one I found straight away. But what's that you say?

Congrats David Benson!
I am 52 years old and Live in Janesville WI and also Elgin IL. I am the Sales Manager for a Paper Company that deals in Waste Paper for Recycling and in addition Job-Lot and Seconds rolls of paper to be converted and sold back into the printing Industry. My wife and I enjoy the outdoors and fishing is our biggest activity. We have a cabin near the Mississippi river south of Lacrosse WI. We attend church on a regular basis and living in WI have access to beers that are sold no where else in the country. I have been Brewing with Mr.Beer for 2 or three years now but it really has picked up in the past year. I always have something fermenting carbonating or cold aging at all times. I have learned much about the brewing process in the past year and at this point I see no reason to use any other home brewing system then Mr.Beer.
