Congrats Mike Crume!

My name is Mike Crume.  I've been married for 25 years to the same gal I took to the High School senior prom.  We live in a very small town about 20 miles NW of Spokane, WA.  We have three sons and a future daughter in law.  The picture there is of the entire family.  I figure I wouldn't be where I am without all of them. We love camping, golfing, boating, anything outdoors.

I've been a truck driver for 20 years.  It has been an amazing career that has allowed me to see a lot of this great country and meet some very interesting people. I am currently looking at a career move into the safety area of the transportation industry.  I really look forward to making a difference in the lives of other truck drivers

Right now I am doing nothing but extract brewing and steeping grains.   By keeping it simple with hop additions and other adjuncts I find that I am able to make some pretty darn good beer.  And I'm having a lot of fun experimenting.  I think the best part of this hobby, besides consuming the finished product, are the endless possibilities with any recipe.

How long have you been brewing?
I got my Mr. Beer kit for Christmas 2009 and brewed my first batch in January.  After that was successful I quickly purchased four more kegs and, outside of a couple of summer months, have been brewing like crazy ever since.

What is your favorite beer?
My favorite store bought beer is Skinny Dip from New Belgium.   As far as Mr. Beer recipes go, every order has Witty Monk on it.  I am continuously tweaking that and have yet to make the beer that makes me say "that's it!!"

Who would you most like to share a beer with?
I'd love to have a beer with FDR and listen to how he overcame disability to become the most powerful man in the free world.  And if I was just interested in partying, drop me off with the old Oakland Raider teams of the late 70's.
