Congrats Kevin Korzeniewski!
My name is Kevin Korzeniewski. I live in Melvindale, MI and I'm 25 years old. I actually got in to brewing with my father Tim when I was 20, helping him brew and watching the process. Reading the beer guide and learning that there were hundreds of different ways to brew each mix and different ways to enhance the flavor profile and alcohol by volume level, I became very interested to say the least. On my 21st birthday he got me my first Mr.Beer kit. I was immediately hooked on brewing -- making sure the temp was perfect, that the water was pure as it could be. I've experimented with all the different bottles and have purchased my 2nd and 3rd fermenter. At this point I had talked and convinced my cousin Greg to also get involved; he in turn got hooked as well.
At that point he was going to remodel his basement and we decided to make a room just right for optimal brewing conditions. We set up shelves to house the 8 fermenters and carbonating batches. The room is equipped with its own heater to keep the brewing process constant as well as provide all the essential conditions for carbonation. We also built another room just for the lager process and storage until our beer is ready to drink. We label the exact day it is ready and beer it contains. All in all, we have enough going that it keeps us always involved. My favorite Mr.Beer mix is with out question the Grand Bohemian Czech Pilsner. If I had an opportunity to share a beer with anyone, it would be Ed Rolland from Collective Soul. He's been my music idol since they released their first album in 93! I love Mr.Beer and the hobby I was able to get into because of it!
