I brewed MB West Coast Pale Ale. I let it ferment from 9/04 to 9/26 and I had all this gunk on the top. I tasted a little bit of the brew and it still tasted like the LME, like nothing fermented. Thoughts? Is this garbage?

    Wow, that's scary!

Is there a layer of  trub on the bottom?  Were you thorough on your sanitation?

I sanitized as thoroughly as I always have. I couldn't really see through to the bottom with all the gunk in the way. I've bottled it and I guess I'll let it condition for a while and see what turns out.

Josh, smell, hydro readings, UHHHHH taste?  Looks like maybe lid was not on properly and something got in the LBK . I would put some away for a long time b4  I would crack one open.

Don't try to see through to the bottom.  Look at it from the side.  A layer of trub is very to easy from the side view, should be 1/4 or so high and white as compared to the brown keg.
