They are real sugar and they make it easy for bottle priming. 1 per 12 oz bottle is all it takes.

So they are like sugar cubes like you can buy at the grocery store.

Yes they are measured sugar cubes. With these you know how many to use or somewhere pretty close. You could do the same with sugar cubes but you would need to compare how many of them it takes to do the same and I'm not sure sugar cubes would even fit through a bottle opening.

Well I went and got some from the store. They fit in the plastic Mr.Beer bottles. The cubes are 1/2 inch. 1cube =9/10tsp.and 3.60grams of sugar. I got a small box of 126cubes for $2 so I think i will try a few bottle with both Mr.Beer and a few that I bought from the store and see which one works best.CHEERS!!!!!

As long as the cubes fit they will both work the same. You'll just have to play around to see how many cubes you need to add per bottle to get the carbonation level you are looking for.

Only two batches bottled fwiw. First I used teaspoons, trying. Current bottles have carb drops, or two sugar dots (1/2 tspn per dot). The two dot ones are overcarbonated, the Coopers drops ones are well carbonated. Next time I'll try one dot per bottle, and drops for comparison. 12 oz bottles.

Not all sugar cubes are created equal. Domino Dots are 1/2 tsp, but Domino makes a larger one, too. I have used Dots for priming--they needed a push to go through the openings of Grolsch bottles and a couple of others, most bottles they dropped right in.
