Our MUG Is Half Full!
We've started to build it, and you guys are already starting to come – and hope that you will continue to. And really, honestly, its you guys who are doing the building. We provided a new forum category for you and hopefully the inspiration to get together in lots of different creative ways with our new MUG program.
I feel real strongly that brewing is so much about community. We inspire, learn from and teach each other, and we share a mutual love for the magical process that creates beer. And when that beer is done, its always good to have someone – or a few someones – to share it with. After all this isn't your average can a' beer, but a lovingly crafted piece of art.
Anyhow, I digress. I know; I tend to get a bit wordy. Sorry guys. I'm pretty excited about all the participation so far, though, and I hope you guys are, too. In fact, there's already been one successful borg meet-up. D Rabbit, Losman26, and beerlabelman shared their beers and some grub before hitting up the beer aisle at DeCicco's. Sounds like they had a bang up time and D Rabbit promises pictures soon. I know you guys collaborated and plotted and planned together – I bet you had so much fun. I loved the label beerlabelman made up and posted in the thread for D Rabbits Irene Porter. So awesome to see the love and respect you guys have for each other.

Looks like there are some willing bodies in Wisconsin planning to try and meet up after the New Year
A few people in the DC/Maryland/Virgina area are willing to get together
Florida looks like its jumpin' with 4 or 5 of you willing to meet up sometime.
We've got one lone wolf out there in Las Vegas – c'mon, you know a Vegas trip sounds fun! Somebody help a brewer out :)
A few of you in California expressed interest – its a big state, though – I know there are more of you home brewers out there!
And that's just a start. Many of you are also more than willing to travel to meet up, and a lot of you volunteered to organize events. Feeling inspired? I am. If you haven't seen the forum category already, click here to check it out.
Like I said, we've only started to build this new program, and are counting on your participation, feedback, ideas, and support, cause straight up – we can't do it all by ourselves. We need your clever brains, guys!
The next two improvements we need to make are to have a map of everybody, so that you've got a visual aid to help inspire and plan events. FrozenInTime posted this one which is awesome for right now.
We're working on getting a fully functional and easy-to-use map going for you guys. A calendar is also on the list, so you'll be able to see at a glance any events that are planned or have already happened. What else can we do to make this work for you guys? You tell me!
