White IPA - 2013 Spring Seasonal

You can also add about 85-90IBU and it turns out good...of course I did also add some light DME (3/4#)
  2. :woohoo: Now that I have tried the correct beer.... This is amazing! best brew I have made! If you have another Spring Seasonal.... bump your IBU's up to 85+ and it will make a great White IPA

    AHA Mash Tun

Got my Coleman 52Qt extreme cooler, about to order parts for my S.S valve/bulkhead and a bazooka tube from bargainfittings. Then I need my kettle and I’m off to all grain

    El Diablo White IPA

Anyone drinking or sample this one yet? I have one Spring Seasonal left, I am going to use Magnum, Perle, Centennial and Chinook and see if I can get this close to a Stone Brew Cali-Belgique...

    Easy Blonde

Well, here are the results....This is a SMOOOOTH clean clear AWESOME beer!
  6. So, I have tried 2 of these...Where did the HOPS go? also carb'd to 2.60ish and its is almost flat still....The Mosaic hops seem to be present but no bitterness is present. Has a real fruity smell and aftertaste. If it was carbonated correct this would be a great beer. Should I pop them open add some sugar and re-cap? :pinch: So I was drinking the wrong beer...I wondered why there was no lable on the cap... Will report back with my research next week
  7. Glad U like it Ur switch of the LME and addition of hops sounds like it works well. The Mr.Beer/Coopers hops are the hops already in the HME. So, U also added a 5min boil of hops and Mr. beer Wheat Lme. Too bad U dont want to share though. Id sent ya one of mine in trade.

    AHA Mash Tun

I was thinking of doing a manifold for better flow and strength, which would be the next step after I figure everything out. The dry-connect PVC is a great idea! The braided wire will work for the first couple of runs. Not sure what I’m going to use for the nozzle, I've seen: brass, plastic and SS. What kind of pump will work for the lautering? Going to recalculate and then batch sparge.

Belgian IPA - Stone Cali-Belgique clone

Well, I found and tried the commercial brew :woohoo: It was actually pretty darn awesome! :chug: and for a Stone brew at $4 thats a good deal to me (Ruination is $7-8). I actually think what I did to my Seasonal White IPA is pretty close to this! (from what the hydrometer sample tasted like on Saturday. Cant wait to do this all grain. might make 10 gal or mash and do half IPA and Have Cali-Belgique.
