    Peanut Butter Stout

Ah. And thanks again. I like the idea of adding it to each bottle at bottling time. (Must be pretty powerful stuff if all one uses is a drop or two)

    Peanut Butter Stout

Thanks Rick. When you say "add ½ of it (a dram) to a Mr Beer batch, I'm assuming I do that after flame-out to the dissolved and well-mixed wort, prior to pouring into the LBK? If that's all I have to do to get a good approximation of Peanut Butter Stout, then the wife is going to be a happy camper. I would also imagine this needs a couple months conditioning after the carbonation phase, at least.

    Peanut Butter Stout

Wondering if anyone here has ever made a peanut butter stout (with or without chocolate flavors) from a MRB extract? Unless I missed it, I haven't found a recipe from MRB for any such. Wife's request.

It was me, I asked Cato, (or someone) the other day what BIAB meant (saw it in several posts). I got several answers. None of which were the correct ones. The joke was on me. I may be late, but I finally made the party. 🤩

And now we know (finally) what BIAB really means! lol In a bag? This had to be invented by a genius -

Excellent! The economy of volume. One good 6-pak of beer half as good would easily be $8-10.

    Something other than booster

Rick mentions no reason to use hop leaves 'ever' (citing Sierra Nevada as an exception). He's maybe right but I will tell you that I used hope leaves, (and buds) just the other day to dry-hop my my Squirley Dog. But I did it in a fashion that avoided the absorbing of any wort. I made a hop tea in my french press and after it cooled sufficiently, added it directly to the wort on day 14 of fermentation. It added about a pint of the most delicious smelling liquid imaginable. The leaves came from that big bag of hops my wife bought at the Christmas bazaar.

But 'Swamp Water' has that certain pizazz to it...I'd order it! (together we could drain the swamp water)

lol Seriously? Is there anything that can't be brewed into a beer? I luv it! All I lack is the lactose sugar. And the Lucky Charms. I....am....so....tempted to try this; if for no other reason than to see the look on my wife's face when I do it!!!

Best listen to Rick. He knows about these things - or do it on the sly....😎

    Getting back into this!

Overheard today in the grocery store: 1st lady "all these (breakfast) cereals nowadays are mostly sugar!" 2nd lady: "yeah, enough (sugar) to rot their (kids?) teeth." This set me to thinking: if all these cereals nowadays are mostly grains and sugar - has anyone ever tried brewing with them? (you see what this hobby can do to a guy? - let him hear 'grains and sugars' and his mind goes immediately back to BEER). LOL
