All grain IPA - small batch.

Good luck!

It's all about the temperature control. Small batches will lose heat quick. I've been doing up about 6 pounds in a 4 gallon pot. It just about fills it to the top using typical BIAB mash thickness. I can put it in my oven on the lowest temp setting. If I'm concerned about really keeping it exactly where it is, I'll turn it off after 30 minutes and back on if I want to go over an hour. It'll hold absolutely dead on. With a small pot, you'll have to watch it pretty close.

I'm working out the logistics for maxing out my set up and doing 8 1/2 lbs in a more traditional mash thickness to try to get more than the 2 1/2 to 3 gallon batches I've been getting. If it works, I'll either be able to do a small batch of very high-gravity beer or dilute to 4 1/2 gallons of session beer.

Mashing is fun!:)
