Thunder Bay IPA

6 posts in this topic

I have not, but it's on my "to try" list.  I'm first going to do the Long Play IPA straight up, then the next IPA recipe I order will be the Thunder Bay.

Looked at this recipe and I like the way the website now goes to the support section for recipes and you can see all  related recipes.

Even archived ones show up :-D

Much better than I remember from last time I looked.

That is a powerful beer though.......

I do have that one in bottles right now conditioning. It should be ready a week or two before Thanksgiving. It tasted awesome when I was bottling it. I think it will be a favorite around my house. I already have it added to my favorites list on MrB. Then I'll share the list to friends and family for a subtle hint for a Christmas gift. ;)

I have one TB batch in the fridge, another conditioning and a 3rd kit on the shelf. I like my IPA with a kick and TB works well for me.

Another strong IPA is API-IPA (one batch in the fridge and one conditioning) but I think I like the Thunder Bay better.  When it comes to IPAs it seems I am trying to find a clone for Bells Two Hearted Ale.

I'm backing off the IPAs for now, looking at the Stouts.
