There are always a few upsets in the first round, and yesterday was no exception, as three higher seeds were knocked out. The biggest shocker? Probably 13th-seeded Morehead State's 1-point victory over 4th-seeded Louisville. Talk about a bracket buster: many of you had Louisville going to the Final Four, even winning. In that same Southwest division, 12th-seeded Richmond knocked 5th-seed Vanderbilt out to advance to the second round.

As for the Mr.Beer College Hoops standings, we have Kedogn on top, correctly picking 15 out of the first 16 games! BEERKEEPER is also 15/16, but unfortunately the Final Four and Championship results were not picked! It's still very close after the first wave of games, and it's anyone's game at this point.

How are our Mr.Beer staffers doing, you ask? Well, MB-Rick is right in the thick of things with 14/16 games picked correctly. Senor Brewmaster Eric is right in it too with 13 points, but his pick for Louisville to go to the Final Four may cost him later on!

It should be another crazy set of games today. Will we have upsets? Will there be drama? Will Dick Vitale say something nonsensical? We'll have to tune in to find out!
