This helped me get down those last pesky few points, good call. Just checked and it is at 1.019, pulled the temp up to close to 60 with the external thermostat. will keep an eye on the temp and adjust as needed in a few hrs. Very nice taste
  3. Mine has been going for 19 days. Will take my first reading this evening and maybe bump the temp up a bit for the last couple of days.
  4. those leaving it in for 3 weeks moving it to a secondary after 2 week or leaving it on the trub for the whole 3?
  5. Started mine on Sunday afternoon and it is coming along nicely. have the fridge set at 52-53 and the yeasties are working overtime.
  6. going to do mine by the directions, Then will place in my beer fridge with it's shinny brand new analog thermostat, will set it at around 55 degrees. Just waiting for my first 5 gal batch to finish up before I start this one.

I think you've waited long enough  You should crack open just 1 to give us an impression of the taste! lol you are prob right but being patient with it plus if I wait it will be perfect timing for my pipeline which be very low by then.
  9. I bought a 5 gal setup from a LHBS before the first of the year. Wish I could say it was great and all that but been so busy have not even been able to brew with it yet. Looking at Feb before I have time to start back brewing, sucks my pipeline is running dry.

  11. no joke resistance is futile, been brewing since July and I can't stop. Well actually I have nothing in the fermentor right now for the first time since I started, but saying that I will start my first 5 gal batch this weekend lol. Oh ya we got a new Fridge last week and it would be a shame to give away the old one.. So it is going in the garage and will be handling fermenting duties more than likely. See it never ends, you just keep getting sucked in.
  12. Mine came out at 5.1 abv. What is everyone else seeing?
  13. Just checked the FG on this one and it is done. Bottling tonight.
  14. I tried one the other night and it was awesome. will check abv when I get home from work and post up... actually think I will drink another then post up
