Steep - 0.25 lbs Briess Caramel 80L - 0.25 lbs Fawcett Pale Chocolate - 0.125 lbs Black Malt LME-DME - 6 lbs Amber malt syrup - 1 lbs Amber dry malt extract Hops - 1 oz US Goldings (60 min) - 1 oz Liberty (45 min) - 1 oz Willamette (15 min) Yeast Danstar Windsor
  5. I did not back sweeten. Turned out like a Dry highly carbed wine. I will put one in the fridge tonight and do a video review tomorrow! I like it!
  6. Am I able to use expired/unwanted yest as yeast nutrient? Add to the boil for 10-15 then cool wort and pitch fresh yeast as normal? Is there any benefit?
  7. 1. The softpack would give you a more full bodied beer and better mouthfeel. The booster packs will get the job done just may "feel" a little thinner. 2. You could use the boosters and the soft pack. your ABV would be bumped up quite a bit. Will need more conditioning time. 3.From what I understand the golden is geared to wheat and the pale is two row malts. would have slightly different characteristics. Brew on!

  14. Experimented with labeling last night. Milk and corn starch is the way to go! dried over night, not going anywhere!

  17. Found these at my door step! Doing the brown ale next with US-04. Not sure if I will brew the Long Play straight up or not yet... Been out of the game for years love getting back in it!!
