  1. Just trying to see if there are any Mr. Beer users in South Jersey? Maybe interested in trading beers or recipes?
  2. im gonna bottle mine this week. its been fermenting about 4 weeks + now. cant wait to try it
  3. i didnt use nutmeg instead i used pumpkin pie spice, a straight substitute. I tasted this beer last weekend after letting it ferment for 5 weeks and 2 weeks in the bottle. I have to say this was by far my best tasting beer I have made yet. I look forward to making it again next fall.
  4. I just brewed this the other day. I used 6 jalapenos and only took out some of the seeds. After cooking the wort and adding it to the fermentor, I could smell the jalapenos. I thinks this is going to be good. Fermenting 3 weeks, Lagering 1 month.
  5. I got my kit for Christmas last year and im on batch #5 with #6 being made today. I also bought a second fermentor so I can have a steady rotation. That being I have now gotten my brother, 2 brother in laws, and 2 co-workers hooked on Mr. Beer. Now we swap bottles and have a lot fun with it. I love beer and what a great hobby.
  6. im not sure if this beer will be my thing either but i wanted to give it a go....
  7. I just ordered this. Has anyone tried it? What did you think?

  11. Hello everyone I am looking to brew up a pumpkin octoberfest beer but I am in need of a recipe. Anyone got one they can send me???? Thanks in advance.
  12. Just tried this beer on Saturday. It was very tasty and I'm pleased with my 2nd batch of beer
  13. I am anticipating this beer now, I cant wait to try it. Im glad everyone on here is encouraging and enthusiastic about homebrewing and sharing ideas with everyone. After a few basic batches I think I will be willing to try an advanced batch with all this support. Thanks again everyone. :chug:
  14. Thanks for the feedback and the welcomes...I definitely think I've found a new way to enjoy my beer drinking hobby. I am pretty excited about future batches, I have already purchased the firecracker red ale for July 4th!!!! Bottoms up :stout:
  15. Im sure im not the first person to try this but I am new to the Mr. Beer community and homebrewing system. In fact this is only my second batch of beer. Since I accidentally ordered blackberries instead of blueberries, I decided to follow the recipe for blue lightning as planned only I substituted blackberries for blueberries. I hope this turns out good. I will let you know in a month. If you've tried this or similiar recipes, let me know your feedback... thanks in advance
