  1. Tap Update: I have not noticed any more leaking out of the keg. I think the tap washer may be defective. I did check for leaks when I sanitized, the keg did not leak. When I sealed the lid after I added the yeast and stirred it, the tap started to leak a little. At any rate I am ordering a secondary key along with two new taps to go with them. Thank you everyone for all the great advice.
  2. I'm a newbie to brewing and may have a problem. I am brewing a batch of the Englishman's Nut Brown Ale. I placed the keg in my spot to brew and noticed a drop of beer. So I placed a saucer under it to catch any drippings. My question is this......will this cause my batch to "go bad" if it's leaking out will bacteria get in. Is this batch ruined?
  3. In stead of going "comando" try using a tea ball. you can pick them up on the cheap at Wal-Mart or Target. Just sanitize the ball first and your set!
