Being my first stout and have a few questions this will be my 3rd MB brew and want this to gome out good! My first question is do i need to use a certain type of oats? Second, is it better to boil the oats by themselves or in the wort like the instructions say? And last, I was thinking of making this a chocolate oatmeal stout - what type of chocolate would I use - or is this a bad idea and I shoud just stick to the oatmeal stout. Really looking forward to this one so any help is greatly appreciated!
