  1. I just received my Beer club order and excitedly opened it, anticipating the 3 batches that I had placed in the order, including the Seasonal. My last Beer blub order was too early for the seasonal, so I thought I had made sure that this one would be at the right time. But, alas, The seasonal was not in the box, and checking online now, I see that it is no longer available. So the question is: Are the Seasonals not available for the beer club order? Thanks
  2. Thanks guys, I had not seen that download link. Question for the group: How many of you dump your sample and how many of you pour it back into the wort? I seem to have seen an equal a mount of people doing both, and I was wondering what people experiences were. One way preserves the amount of beer, the other prevents contamination, which seems to be a holy grail of brewing (ie a hard fast rule).

LoL There is a store I pass every day on the I-5 in Mission Viejo, off the Avery parkway exit. Its on the west side of the road, and you can see it from the highway. Osheas brewing company is the sign

  5. Thanks for all the responses. Lots of good info. Plus I watched several of the Mr beer videos (great info there) and saw the one on ciders, which answered some of my questions very visually (he used the brown jug for his demo).
  6. Hello everyone. Thought I would introduce myself. I have a good friend who has been home brewing for a bit and sharing his creations with the group. I saw the Woot sale of the starter kits, so thought I would join in and contribute, so picked up two barrels. Stopped over and picked up some alternative refill kits here at Mr beer along with a glass bottling kit. So it looks like I will begin my adventure as soon as They are delivered. Question (first of many) what is the true difference between the beer kit and the cider kits? Is is mostly a differences between the mashes? Is the basic equipment the same? Ie do you have to buy some extras to use the beer starter kit to make a hard cider? I also assume the ciders are different from the fruit flavored beers? (I picked up one of these from the MB store and look forward to trying them also) .
