  1. Thanks everyone, I've added these to my amazon wishlist.
  2. Greetings Borg, I read through the little book that came with my kit and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for further reading regarding home brewing and just beer in general.
  3. I just got done brewing my second batch, it's St. Patricks Irish Stout. Wish I would have brewed this one as my first to be ready by St. Patty's day but I'll have some West Coast Pale Ale ready by then. I was a little worried because a little bit of wort splashed out of the keg as I was pouring it in because my cell phone rang at the worst possible moment, but the OG is 1.32, which I think is ok because the instructions said at leas 1.034. My pale ale has been in the bottles for almost a week, I'm going to go at least 2 before I refrigerate them for a few days. I'm getting thirsty.
  4. That's good to hear. I bottled my first batch almost a week ago and I'm going to go for the 2 weeks before I refrigerate it for a few days. Happy brewing!
  5. Thanks guys. I hope it turns out good. Thanks for the link to that article Screwy, I'm new to brewing and can use as much info as possible.
  6. I just finished making my first batch and I forgot to let the yeast sit for 5 minutes before stirring. Did I ruin this batch? I bought a couple of refill packs so I have more yeast, but I don't know if I should just put more in and let it sit or what.
