1. I wish you would have posted this info a few days ago lol. I bought the fresh ginger, but I don't own a grater.
2. I can't wait to brew this batch, it will be my first time adding hops to a batch.
3. Sorry! But for some reason I can't load the video from my smart phone. On my second pour I had more lacing, the beer is going down very smooth and I have a buzz. I think I will move away from 1 liter bottles in the future because I like to enjoy just 12 oz after work. This will keep me from wasting beer if I don't finish the whole liter
4. Poured first bottle of Octoberfest old recipe. Very little head, no lacing, and well carbonated. Overall I am satisfied with the taste and happy to have a successful batch. Please take a look at the video and photos and give your thoughts on color, clarity, carbonation etc.. Thanks guys
5. Thanks. How much longer do you have for your CHL to finish conditioning
6. I bought fresh ginger and I'm going to brew mine this Friday. For you guys who used fresher ginger, did you peel before grating?
7. Grove, cowgirl honey light is my next brew. Please let me know how it came out with the powdered ginger. Also have you sampled the beer? If so how does it taste?
8. Thanks, Mj! I can bottle my High Country Canadian Draft when my wand arrives. I refuse to bottle without it now

I need so me tips on how or what beer refills I need to make a knockoff or better version of: 1.) Bud Light Lime 2.) Corona 3.) Heineken 4.) MGD 5.) Bud (Maybe) or some suggestions of your favorite beer recipes. #1 = piss in a bottle add lime #2 = piss in a bottle add more lime #3 = not sure what to piss in #4 = all of your friends piss in a bottle #5 = turn on tap water (maybe?) I actually like bud light limes and the brown bottle heinekens you can get in Europe. Also I went to the Heineken factory in Amsterdam and tue Heineken on tap was amazing. The only beer on the list I definitely want buy is MGD. Keep in mind I'm new to brewing(brewed 4 batches only tasted 1 so far) and may share your same sentiment towards mass produced brew in the future.

You get a refrigerator magnet that I've never used (it has spots to write in type of beer, date brewed, date bottled) and has Mr. Beer's carb chart, and you get a "thermometer" that has three readings - too cold, ok, and too hot. I bought $2.00 strip thermometers that have readouts every 4 degrees instead. i got the numbered strips to way better. then i got this http://www.acurite.com/weather/humidity/thermometer-with-wired-probe.html taped it to the side of the lbk with a paper towel between the probe and the tape. i could monitor wort temp inside the coolers without releasing heat/cold Nice product for $20, It is definitely on my radar.

I bought $2.00 strip thermometers that have readouts every 4 degrees instead. The thermometer is what I really wanted. If I would have known it wasn't a true thermometer, I wold have ordered one with my last shipment. Ohh well, can't really complain about a free item.
12. It's been longer than a week for me. Did you have to comply with anything other than the registration info you submit? My order I placed a week ago arrived in 3 days, so i would assume the gifts would have arrived just as quick
13. Have you guys registered with Mr. Beer? If so how long did it take to receive the 2 free gifts from Mr. Beer? Also will the bottling wand from Mr Beer fit the old spigot?
14. It might be a pain cutting the drops for the half drop you need. I bottled my October fest with white sugar and noticed carbonation within 24 hrs. I used the carbonation drops for my coopers lager Saturday and noticed its a slower carbing process.
15. For you guys who have used the carbonation drops, how long did it take for the bottles to firm?
16. I cracked open my first batch of beer after 7 days in the LBK and 7 days carb/condition. It was beer but definitely not great beer. Everyday I read this Borg, I learn something new. I wish I had all this advice when I brewed my first batch.
17. I hope so, I'm sure the wife is keeping tabs of the amount of money we are spending on brew. Especially since I told her to cut back on clothes and shoes. Ha
18. I figured that wouldn't be a good idea. I think I have all my mistakes out the way, so I'm about to order some recipes from Mr beer tonight.
19. Would it be safe to add water after fermentation has begun? I've made a lot of errors brewing these first couple of batches, I hope they come out well.
20. Looks good, I have 3 more weeks of conditioning before I can pour a glass. I hope it looks and taste as good as yours.
21. I have one more question for you guys. What is the possible result of using less water than the recipe calls for?
22. "khawk95" post=344877 said:How do you like the coopers 5 gal fermenter? This is my first time using the fermenter, the wife bought me the kit last month for my birthday. I like the fact that it came with a stick on thermometer and a hydrometer. The only problem is size, the LBK is easy to store and clean especially if u don't have much space to work with.
23. Ok, I was just concerned because I have never experienced that type of fermentation on the first day.
24. Yesterday I brewed the standard coopers lager recipe and the high country Canadian from the old Mr. Beer recipe. I used the yeasts that came with both kits. The temp when I pitched the yeast was 26c and today it's around 24c.
25. The flash from the camera is the reason you can't see it. I will upload a better photo to give you guys a better idea of what I'm talking about. Also the yeast had a strong smell, stronger than the standard Mr. Beer yeast
