  1. I just bottled my batch of Oktoberfestivus. during the boil i added one cup of brown sugar to the wort. i let it ferment in the lbk for two weeks then added one pound of crushed hazelnut wrapped in cheese cloth to cut down sediment. i bottled it after a total three weeks of fermenting in the lbk. anyone got an idea of how long the Oktoberfestivus needs to condition for?
  2. I buddy of mine has been brewing for a while but usually Kegs his beer and uses CO2 instead of bottle conditioning with sugar. He decided to bottle condition in two bottles an d keg the rest but opened one bottle before it was ready. is it possible to re carbonate by adding a little more sugar to save the beer?
  3. I bottled my cow gurl honey light a week ago. i know the CAL takes about 6-8 weeks to get rid of the cidery flavor from experience. if any one had tried the cow girl honey please help me with your results with the conditioning time. Thank You
  4. So I just bottled yesterday. I kept the front of the LBK proped up and cold crashed the LBK for 3 days in the fridge. There is no sediment at all in my bottles but now my only worry is wether or not the yesat will wake up after bottling with the priming sugar. Help please???

(2.5 teaspoons) I did the amount on the initial IPA that came with my set, and it seemed WAY too carbonated. Thanks all. I just finished the CAL. Ferment in the LBK for 3 weeks then let it condition in the bottles for 2 months to ensure the beer gets rid of that unpleasant cidery taste. the instructions give you the amount of sugar to bottle size. 32oz is 2.5 tsp
  6. Totaly just realized that i already have a post asking this same question. thanks again everyone :chug:
  7. You subject says classic american light but you post says lager. which one will you actually be brewing?
  8. So i just started my third batch of brew. My second batch which is the brown eyed girl is in bottles conditioning right now. from what i understant each of the MR.BEER recipes takes its own amount of time to properly condition. i dont really want to check one bottle each week until it tastes good so i was wondering if any one has brewed this recipe and knows how long i should let the brown eyed girl condition in bottles for. i let it ferment in the LBK for 2 /12 weeks and it has been conditioning for two week now. i was thinking 4 weeks and it will be good but any info form experience will be greatly appreciated. thanks
