  1. and to add, I was commenting on an N.B. page on F.B. last week saying since the buyout, probably never see the Buy 3 for 19.99 each again! one week later..... Dn't think they dnt listen, and glad they do!

  2. N.B. has buy 3 kits for $19.99 each. not the greatest selection, but thought I try the Dead ringer, another Phat Tire ( since Oklahoma sells it now! Finally! ) and another bourbon barrel porter since I have an A.G. version of this. will do the extract first and age it in the barrel

  3. not to did Mr. Beer, but I ordered the GrowlerWerks Copper Ukeg 128oz. today while it was free shipping on GrowlerWerks website. out of preference, I wanted the copper over the ss version. looking forward when it arrives

it's not cheap, but I've been following it since its inception 2 years ago waiting for them to work out all of the bugs. the copper 128 is really cool looking too!

  4. Austinhomebrew.com has their A.G., mini mash and extract Mai bocks on sale for a 5 gal. kit, $20.00. the extract and mini mash kit I believe are no difference from each other. I bought an A.G., and extract. a good deal for 5 gal. bock beer for 20 bucks if you ask me

  5. since your into the Cooper world! Monsterbrew.com has a few fair priced Cooper extracts for sale, one on sale, and the other at a lower price than competition

  9. northern brewer has a 48 hr sale on selected IPA's, i'm going to bend my wallets so I can get 3 IPA recipes for $19.99 each, they have the grapefruit pulpin, been drinking some of Samuel adams grapefruit rebel ipa and it's pretty dam tasty, so that is one of my selections!, eventho they're not all grain kits, I still enjoy the partial mash kits.

the advantage to the one I have now, if I wanted to ferment 10 gallons, 2 five gallon fermenters, all I need is another cool zone jacket and insulator and the existing pump/controls will do the rest

  18. Hey Sarge, there's a guy here in a suburb of Tulsa, broken arrow, who's on craigslist selling an all grain 8 gallon Grainfather it's brand new still in the box, those things go for about $900.00 on ebay, hes selling his for $825.00, says his wife said No! LOL!, but anyway its a local Oklahoma ad, and if u were ever thinking of going all grain brewing using electric, this Is a good way.

    1. Big Sarge

      Big Sarge

Thanks for the heads-up. I love the grainfather but can't afford anything close to that price! I've seen it in action at the LHBS here before he closed up. It's pretty awesome!

      Creeps McLane

well, thanks a lot... Now I have 8 cans of HME coming to my house.  Now I just have to decide how to split the cans.  4 in a 5 gallon batch for approx 5.? ABV or two and pick up some grains for a p-mash. Happy to finally try my Kolsch yeast!!!

    2. HoppySmile!

      HoppySmile!

i'd do two cans/partial mash, more for later. last yr I did a seasonal mr. beer recipe called California dreamin using the Canadian blonde hme. u had to add extras like vanilla bean, orange zest and frsh oats to it, but it was really good!

  20. I was watching an episode of brew t.v. on youtube, a series by northern brewer. they were brewing a super hopped ipa all grain 5 gallon recipe using 19 ounces of hop varieties!!! and 22 lbs of grain, which is almost dble the grain bill! I can't imagine how that turned out???

      HoppySmile!

that sounds really good!, i'm getting ready for work, and now that'll be imbedded in my head the rest of the night!! yea I was watching the northern brewer guys brewing in 8 degree weather in Minnesota, and they were mashing out a barely wine and poured two mugs with the mash in progress wort then added some whiskey to the mugs and drank them! I might have to try that!

    4. Creeps McLane

      Creeps McLane

No, but I did give it some serious consideration.  For me it's more of a spacing issue + I'd like to keep my balls intact!  She'd neuter me if I bought this, especially before this damn gazebo goes up!

well ur in luck bcuz they have the same sale at the end of the year, so u can unwrap ur own xmas present u sent to urself!!, in reality u might find a better deal at a brew house tat have these, for me it was a flat 20.00 shipping rate delivered at my door in little as 2 wks. I know another brewer bought one at a brew house for $75.00 w/o stand, i'll pay for convienience from time to time

  23. check out MonsterBrew.com 78% sale

      Thats a great number!!!

  24. out of curiosity I dipped into the fat tire, and i'm pretty impressed, it's a mellow Belgium with subtle hop/malt combination and since its been in the primary for only about 2 weeks, its already ready for the secondary its just I have no secondary available til next weekend. but just wanted to let u know that its a winner!!

  25. where with the carboy would be better for second fermentation stage bcuz it limits the amount of oxygen intake while transfer from the primary fermenter( bucket)
