I brewed an American lager. Used yeast under lid, fermented 2 1/2 weeks, carb 3 weeks and bottle conditioned in fridge for 3 weeks. The beer is good but it tastes like green olives. What's wrong with it?

Ok thanks. I didn't know if that would mess it up if I put in twice as much yeast as my batch size.

Hummer started following US-05 yeast

I'm gonna brew the watermelon wheat beer, it came with the us-05 yeast pack to use rather then then the one under the lid. After reading the pack of us-50 it's dosage size says between 20 and 30 liters which is about 5 to 7.9 gallons. So should I use half the package?

I saw a recipe that calls for cold brewed coffee, but can't find anything on how to go about making that. Any suggestions?

Couldn't you also use flaked corn instead of oats to get a creamy brew; Or do oats work better?
-
Ok so you would steep the oats and 2-row in addition with the boiling of the American ale lme?

Thank you. To get the creamy part of the brew I added 4oz lactose sugar to the end of the boil. What other methods can I get a "creamy" brew?

I'm got a vanilla cream lager going now almost done. Doesn't have enough vanilla flavor for me. Does anyone have a great recipe?
