  1. After 3 weeks fermenting, 4 weeks conditioned, and 3+ days chilled, I tried the Churchill's Nut Brown Ale I brewed back in May and was very impressed. I'd rank it as very similar but definitely a slight step above the Oktoberfest refill and the Bewitched Amber Ale refill. Pours a dark, dark brown with very little head. Smell is primarily a slightly sweet, toasted barley/malt aroma. Taste is very solid -- robust, malty, slight hints of chocolate/caramel/hazelnut, but mostly this is a pretty standard flavorful brown ale. Would go great with a burger. I added 5ml of Peanut Butter brewer's extract to 16oz Mr. Beer PET bottles when bottling and these came out really well if you're looking for something with more of a "nut" taste to it. Kevin
