Dry hop?

Recommended Posts

Ok I get boiling hop in different times, But what does dry hopping mean. Im guessing its when you add the hops to the fermenter? And leave in...?

Make sure you use a hop sack. I made the mistake of not using a bag once and it took me an hour to bottle 1 batch

I never use a hop sack when dry hopping. I toss em in naked and set the front of the keg on a CD case to keep sediment to the back. I also cold crash. Never had a problem bottling.

Truck,

Pellets or leaf? I also made the mistake of adding Orange Zest without a bag. Never thought of tilting it back

Pellets. I open the bag and just dump em in. Orange zest I've always used during the boil, but not it a sack. Still never a problem. You should try tilting it back. I'm guessing it would solve a lot of problems.

I always rack my beer after primary then dry hop. No bottling problems. Better beer from moving to a secondary keg. I wait five to seven days before racking.
