Anyone heard of a "Mr. Beer Pilot 6qt brew kit"?

One is forsale with a bottle capper ($10) locally.
The capper might be worth $10 alone?

I think they sell what looks like an air lock similar to what is in your pic on the accessories page of the mrbeer site. So I'd say this is a discontinued version of the mrbeer kit, but I'm new to this so can't say for sure.

That's the old school version of Mr. B. Only differences you'll have is that you get less (but stronger) beer, and that you'll need to make sure to keep it in the dark. I'd buy it... The capper is worth more, and you can definitely use the fermenter...

I was thinking of using it for Gluten free brewing since wife drinks less :P

Was going to make that Hard Lemonade in it for staters

If I were you, I'd buy it. If you're making gluten free beers, you'll be doing those from scratch, so you can adjust the amounts to make them whatever strength your wife wants. Out of curiosity, what are you using instead of malt? Sorghum?

Wheat ~ Millet, Teff
Barley ~ Sorghum, Chestnuts
Rye ~ Buckwheat
Oats ~ GF Oats (duh), Quinoa, Amaranth

Also Brown Rice Syrup and Solids and GF Maltodextrin

help from "DKershner" from other forum

As I test and make GF brews I will share here to help all that are helping me (Big happy BORG!)

Is that keg 6 quarts or gallons. I have seen pics of the old 6 gallon keg but this is the first I've seen of a 6 quart kit.

Buy it.

Those show up from time to time on ebay for $20-30 bucks. if nothing else, you can double your money and have a capper too.

Picked it up today, was the complete kit!

I got all the PET bottles and caps (All un-used) a bag of bottle caps with the capper a recipe book and instruction book along with the Keg and Ferment lock.

Looked almost like new, the box had the original purchase recipt in the box bottom (bought in 11/1995) :P

Making Hard Lemonade in it tomorrow, just got done cleaning it with Oxiclean
