th_DSCN0347.jpg On Monday 3/15 I brewed up a batch of the Stickty Wiicket Oatmeal Stout with dme and chocolate & crystal 40 malt. been fermenting a 60
I went to swap frozen water bottles & saw I had a little blow over. The lid did not come off. its still snug. I wiped off outside of fermenter. Should I loosen the lid a little?

Thanks

I would loosen the lid. I had a blowout earlier this week I loosened the lid to where I barely had the lid on the keg. The vents can get blocked with gunk and cause the keg to swell and in extreme cases blow the lid or the keg itself.

I loosened my lid and when the fermentation died down I took the lid off and cleaned the threads with some sanitizer and a paper towel.
