Cloudy

Recommended Posts

I was planning on waiting 2 weeks for fermentation to finish, but wanted to take a look at where I was at 8 days. Looking through the side of the keg with a flashlight showed major cloudiness and many particles floating around. I poured a smal amount in a glass, again cloudy and more particles. Tasted like flat beer, maybe a little sweet. Anyway I am still waiting the 2 weeks, but should I be concerned about the cloudiness or particles? Do I need to try and cold crash this one?

Welcome aboard! I'd just wait another 8-9 days before bottling. Gravity works, that stuff will settle down in the bottom; of both the fermenter & the bottles.

I've cold crashed with great success, but do not see any advantage. Like Rebel said, gravity will take over and settle all the floaties with more days as they pass.......don't worry
