Playing with the last of my MB extract kits

Recommended Posts

So I'm working on moving over to making my own recipes through my own hop boils and such and decided to start playing with an ounce here and there. Here's the latest:

.5 pound Pilsen DME brought to boil
2 grams MB yeast @ 22 min
1/2 ounce Cascade @ 22 min
1/2 ounce Cascade @ 7 min
flame out @ 0 min
1 pound Pilsen DME
2 cans ADIPA
11.5 grams US-05

Before putting the lbk away for a few weeks I took a whiff and noticed a strong, nice aroma.

VanceFox - glad you're going for it. One thing I have to question is that you reference 2 grams of MB yeast @ 22 mins into the boil. Was that a typo?

Sounds like he was adding it as yeast food. Using the US-05 for the fermentation.
