The results of the first brew..

Recommended Posts

SOOOOOOO, it turned out OK.. I say OK because I'm not a Pale Ale fan, but if it's worth drinking on the first try.. A little light low ABV for my taste.. Already have the plans for the next one... Two Octoberfest's Vienna Lager and a Coopers Amber LME...

But the question I have.. So I have one bottle which is just so cloudy... It tastes just fine, so I'm assuming it was the last bottle I did.. Does everyone have one like this? Am I gonna get a turned stomach from it?

Lol No, you won't get a turned stomach, Thats generally what is reffered to as the "Trub Bottle".

It wont hurt you, and to be honest I've read a few different people claim that the trub bottle tastes better...I have not had that experience, but I usually mark the last bottle or two and drink those ones first as test bottles, saving the clearer ones for myself or company

Congrats on the first brew. It shouldn't be cloudy unless it is a wheat beer. It sounds to me like you got some trub in the pour. How long did you keep the bottle in the refrigerator? You need to chill it a couple of days so the trub will settle out, then make sure you pour it so it doesn't get mixed back into your glass (i.e. slowly leaving a little in the bottom of the bottle). Don't quickly pour it entirely into the glass - that will mix in the trub into your glass of beer.
