Batch Prime Bottle Setup

Recommended Posts

Took some pictures of the batch prime and bottling setup. I use 2 bottling wands and 2 MRB LBK.
One wand on the locking tap of the 'beer keg' with the bottling valve removed. This transfers the beer to the prime keg.
The prime keg has the stanadrd bottling wand with the flow control valve.

this is exactly how i do it. exactly. i use the "new" type of spigot, and the older "locking" spigot for transfer.

by the way, my "new" spigot is the origional one that ERIC sent me, it is one of the test spigots.

What is batch priming?

Batch priming is when you transfer the fermented wort/beer from the fermenting vessel into another bottling vessel along with the priming sugar. Many do this instead of adding sugar to each bottle. It tends to give you a more consistant carb throughout the batch.

EDIT: Check out the simple guidelines sticky under new brewers/info. It gives you step by step instructions for the process.
