How long conditioning and still safe to drink?

Recommended Posts

I bottled a batch of Nut Brown Ale on 13 Sep. How long can it condition/last until it is put in the fridge and still be safe to drink??

From experience you can keep them in the bottle quite a while! :)

Different styles of beers benefit from different conditioning times. Like I'm told wheat beers need less time.

I personally have a Chocolate Covered Cherries Beer (Octoberfest Vienna HME base) that's going on 9 months conditioning and it's still good.

Once you put them in the fridge it slows down the "aging" process and I'm told they last even longer.

I have a Pilot House Pilsner that was one of my first couple of batches in the fridge and it's still very drinkable (also close to 9 months old).

So I'd put those babies in the fridge and enjoy! :)

It is safe to drink when you put it in the bottle.

The question shoud be "When would be the best time to strat enjoying them?"

I have some beers from 2011 that have aged so good that I am getting better at waiting.

If this is a basic refill, they should be fine now, put one or two in the fridge and wait 2-3 days. Taste and see if you want to wait or if they are to your standards
