Tasting first batch

Recommended Posts

I have been patient. Tonight I am pleased to taste my first batch. Classic American light . Brewed on January 14 at 8:00PM. Bottled February 4 in the afternoon. Two weeks carbonating two weeks conditioning. First off color is darker than expected, tastes better than expected, clarity is way better than expected. "All in" this is really exciting, and I can't wait to see how it might improve over the next few weeks while I wait for my Northwest Pale Ale to finish. Thank you all for your advice. PATIENCE PAYS

I've always wondered if sideways beers get the drinker "more sideways?"

Congrats - and it only gets better with time, experience and knowledge. This is about the only thing I am truly "creative" and into science about so I have become obsessed rather easily. I figure if you are happy with the coors light version of homebrew - you are going to be head over heels when you get to the more complex stuff. It's all good - as long as She Who Must Be Obeyed understands - you have a great hobby going forward that actually pays dividends. After all, how many other hobbies result in great beer?
