Try brewing it as is. This way you will get the hang of brewing with MB kit. If you must change the recipe, then substitute the booster with a half a pound of LME or DME.

The change I would suggest is you ferment in the LBK for 3 weeks and carb and condition for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks refrigerate for 3 days and enjoy.

Snowjob is absolutely right. Before you start modifying the ingredients, you need to get to know them first. You also need to be comfortable and confident with the process.

And +1 on fermenting for three weeks, carbing/conditioning at room temperature for 4 weeks, and then chilling for 2 or 3 days before drinking.

It's difficult to wait that long, but it really does make a big difference.

Yeah, I would suggest ditching the booster and substituting 1LB of DME.

If you do go that route, get Pale or Light or however they designate it.

As it is, the WCPA would end at a 2.0-2.1% ABV beer. And while I agree 110% about getting the basics down pat first...the addition of 1Lb of a Pale DME would really do it wonders in terms of substance.

Thanks everyone. I'll keep it simple and not go overboard on this until i'm comfortable with the process. l do want to replace the Booster with DME thought. I'll keep everyone informed on the way.
