Irish Stout Nicely Aged

Recommended Posts

We recently had company from England for a week and in anticipation I had been saving 1 or 2 beers from every batch I made. I'm sipping a stout that went in the bottle 2/2/2013. Surprisingly little head but man does it taste good. Next up Honey Lager from 2/23/13.

That was one of the last MR B beers I brewed. Nasty when young but most excellent when well aged

I'm with you guys, I'm a HUGE stout guy and have found that every stout I have made is not at it's best until 4 months. Some of the Imperial Stouts I've brewed weren't ready until 6 months!!

Good on ya Cheftom! Next time you brew this one you'll know to hold on to it for 3 or more months before drinking!!

I'm with you ...dude. I love stout, porter, bocks. My Defibrilator Dopplebock is just great after 2 months. This is my 2nd batch of Mr Beer so I only have 5 or 6 bottles left. I also have Dark Forest Stout which now after about 2 months have much stronger and fuller raspberry flavor.
