pumpkin spice

Making 5 gallons of hard apple cider using apple juice..................how much pumpkin pie spice do you guys recommend I put at kegging? Thank you!

I make 3 gallon batches, and normally use no more than 2 tbs of the spice.

I don't know if they still have the Nong Cider's listed here or not. but I've posted the fix'nz before.

I finally got a chance to check my notes.  I have only made test batches of cider so far, in 1 gallon carboys, which is 3 quarts of cider plus some headroom.  I have used 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice per 3 quarts of apple juice, which is about 6.7 tsp in 5 gallons.  At 3 tsp per tbsp, that's just over 2 tbsp in 5 gallons.  It's best to take it easy with spices as you figure out your own preference.  You would make a nice cider with just apple juice, but too much spice could make it less drinkable.  So, it's best to start on the low side, and increase it in future batches if you want more.
