Forgotten brew

Recommended Posts

I put some Aztec Cervesa with pale LME and hops in the LBK right before Thanksgiving and sort of forgot about it.  Is it still ok and safe to bottle and drink or should I just toss it?

Your timing is fine.  With some strong brews, I have needed to leave the beer in the keg for 4 weeks before bottling while the yeast finished turning initial byproducts into tasty beer, and there shouldn't be any problem until at least 6 weeks in the keg.  Even with more than that, the advice would be to go ahead and bottle it, for carbonating and conditioning, to see how it turns out.  Dumping it should only be considered if you found after allowing plenty of conditioning that it had a bad infection or is hard to drink for some other reason

it's all a matter of getting experience.  Welcome to the forum, and enjoy the journey as you learn!

Should be ok as long as the lid has not been removed. will probably be nice and clear which is a good thing.

Wow.  I've forgotten my kids at school, I've forgotten my wife at church and I've forgotten my wallet when I went to the store.  But I can imagine ever forgetting a beer.

Bwahahahahahahahahaha!
