Bewitched Amber with additions

This brew turned out so nice I thought I'd post..

1/2 lb crystal 20 steeping grains

1/2 lb amber DME

3/4 oz Williamette hops boiled 10 minutes in dme, then discarded

Bewitched Amber HME

Mrs Gopher says it's one of my best.

Although my wife did her typical eye-rolling when I told her I was brewing beer, she has made it a point when it comes up in conversation, she will throw in that 'he's making 2 different batches for me to try and see which one I like best".

Doesn't hurt to have her on your side.... lol

I did a 4.25 Gallon batch back in February came out very nice!

1 Can Bewitched Amber

2 lbs Sparkling Amber DME

2 lbs Crystal 40 steeped

.5 lb Honey Malt steeped

.5 oz Citra @ 40 

.5 oz Citra @ 5

Dry hopped with 1 oz Citra after 2 weeks fermenting

Gopher, sounds great! I did a BAA also with 1/2 # amber DME, 1/2 oz fuggel hops(30 minute boil) and 4 oz malto-dextrin. Perhaps I will try the grains as you did next time I brew it. BTW Dawg, what do you calculate the % alcohol is on your brew? (Seems like a very tasty version of the BAA)
