Sediment on sides of LBK

Recommended Posts

On Saturday night, I brewed a batch of Bavarian Weissbier using the deluxe refill kit.    I checked on it this morning (it has been about 38 hours since I pitched the yeast.)  I've noticed some krausen on top, but there appears to be a decent amount of sediment on the sides toward the bottom of the LBK and not so much on the bottom itself.  Has anyone else had this happen, and if so, did the beer turn out ok?

One question: Did you vigorously stir the wort before you pitched the yeast? If you did, then all is well... if you didn't, then you may get some premature settling but it should still do it's thing. I've had some batches with noticeable trub in as little as 24 hours. Chances are all is well!

Sweet! I would not worry you will be fine. I have made some 5 gallon batches and it looked like the yeast exploited all over the fermenter.
