jared 0 Posted January 17, 2015 Half of my bottles didn't carbonate after the two weeks, what did I do wrong? the bottles were clean and I used the right amount of sugar.
RickBeer 6,401 Posted January 17, 2015 It often takes longer than 2 weeks. Make sure they around 70 degrees and let them sit for 4 weeks. We recommend 3 weeks fermenting and 4 weeks carbonating and conditioning at room temp, then refrigerate just what you will drink 3 days later, leaving the rest at room temp. The_Professor 13 Posted January 17, 2015 Yeah, sometimes 3 weeks is needed. Maybe even gently invert them.
iceberg 26 Posted January 18, 2015 If you did everything correctly just give it more time. Slowly inverting then letting them sit for a few more weeks is a great idea. It will be ok.
markallmon 0 Posted January 18, 2015 I'm starting into my 2nd week after bottling my first ever batch with the LBK and I was kinda wondering about it myself. Most of my bottles weren't "hard" yet, but it's comforting to know it can go longer than 2 weeks if necessary. Can it stay at room temperature in the bottles indefinatly (until I'm ready to drink it, that is. lol)?
khawk95 85 Posted January 18, 2015 Patience isn't a virtue for home brewing. It's a requirement. Relax, don't worry. Have a home brew. RDWHAHB
