Hops question

Recommended Posts

I am brewing an all grain with a 90 minute boil. The recipe calls for 1 oz us golding at 70 mins, 1 oz perle at 60 mins, and 1 oz us golding at 25. But they shipped me 2 perle instead. Does anyone have experience with these hops? Will it dramatically change my beer using the perle hops at 25 instead of the goldings? What if i left the last addition out? Thx for any knowledge and/or wisdom!

Call whoever this is and have them ship the right hops, then brew it.

Perle - Slightly spicy with herbal and floral characteristics.

US Golding - fruity and earthy.

OR Better Yet...Brew this batch using what you with using the Perle at 60 min and at 25 min. Then call and order and hopefully receive the correct recipe and hops. And brew that batch when you can following the recipe. Now you have 2 batches of brew and have a good comparison of the same recipe with just a slight twist and  slightly different hops flavor Then you can have taste tests with your friends and families. Two batches gained and nothing lost.
