New Recipe - Naughty Cream Ale!!

this sounds really good.....once I deplete my stock I'm gonna have to get this one..

besides the corn flakes, ive got all these ingredients to brew this tantalizing recipe. I guess just regular corn flakes will do? well all I have is count chocula and captain crunch

This is flaked corn, not corn flakes. They are very different.

I'm not sure what you mean by "corn maize" because maize IS corn (you have "corn corn"? lol). But if you're referring to corn flour, no, it won't work. You need flaked corn. Just pick some up at your LHBS if you don't want to pay the $7.95 shipping for a $0.55 package from us.

oh so all this time when I was looking at ur grains selection I thought u guys had corn flakes in the bag! LOL! it looks just like it!! that's y I asked the question

Corn flakes are corn flour that has been made into flakes and cooked. Flaked corn is made from corn kernels that have been flattened and gelatinized by heating them between rollers.

Update: I tried this over the weekend at 4 weeks conditioning and must say that it's the best cream ale I've ever had (and not being biased just because I know the guy who made it)! I know that many of you will turn up your nose at the CAL base, but this is a smooth beer with a light hop tease. There's a nice balance with the hops and light backbone.
