How much sugar

Recommended Posts

I'd like to use 12 oz bottles for my beer.  How much sugar do I add for this size bottle?

3/4 tsp per bottle. Here is our priming chart:

These are bottles that require an opener, right?  Not screw on caps?

For 12 oz bottles  see chart   3/4 tsp.  or  3/4 a carb drop.

I make it simple and put in 1 domino sugar dot which they say is 1/2 tsp. I get enough carbonation with that and it is easy.

They are actually not regular/even cubes so you need to turn them so smaller profile makes it go into the bottle easier.

Dots also come in bigger size. Don't get those, they don't fit. Use the 198 to the 1 lb pkt.

To RickBeer's point - he is saying DON"T use the screw top beer bottles, use the ones that need an opener.

I have had no problem with screw top but they may not seal as well and look like they are thinner and thus more fragile.

The last thing you need is one to break when capping it.

Domino Dot - 198 cubes per box

Teaspoon size cubes of compressed fine granulated sugar offer portion control in an elegant serving. .

1 cube = 0.08oz

1 cube = 2.29g

1 cube = 1/2 tsp
