Recover yeast after gelatin?

Recommended Posts

Just added gelatin to clear my first lager brew. Mr Beer keg sitting at 36deg. Is 24 hours enough? Would like to bottle tomorrow. Will the yeast separate from the trub? Not sure how thick it will be, but want to try re-use it. Used 1/2 pack Knox gelatin in 1/2 cup water, about 1/8oz.

Are you supposed to do that? I thought you add gelatin to a keg keg, not an LBK. And lagers if done right some be clear by nature.

As far as the yeast, i would imagine you could seperate it from all that stuff. Its not a one step process, itll take a few transfers I think.
