chisels1 13 Posted February 20, 2017 Well its been a little over 2 weeks of brewing in the LBK and its my first attempt at making beer. I took a taste test to see how it was enroute to bottling. It tasted like flat beer with a hint of cider or yeast. Can I let it go 1 more week?
hotrod3539 911 Posted February 20, 2017 Yes. 3 weeks is the recommended time for fermentation.
RickBeer 6,230 Posted February 20, 2017 Take a look at the contents of my signature (use a PC, you can't see them on mobile). Lots of good info in there including the answer to this and many other questions.

Stroomer420 1,048 Posted February 20, 2017 always go three weeks.. The third week is where the yeast cleans up those off flavors your tasting now...
Stroomer420 1,048 Posted February 20, 2017 then let it carb/condition for at least four weeks... The longer you wait the better your beer will be... Patience is your best friend in the brewing hobby.... Good luck!!! ?
scouterbill 885 Posted February 20, 2017 Like Stroom said the longer you go the better your beer will be. Except for IPA's and wheat beers, those are best drunk young.
