Qbrew Help

Recommended Posts

Hey guys - I was hoping someone could run some numbers for me in Qbrew. My PC is down and I'm on my daughters lap top right now. I would really appreciate it.

I am making a close but not exact version of the Dead Guy Ale clone recipe. Here's my plan -

Dead Guy Clone
Wretched Ron's Brewing
2.4 Gal German Maibock Style

4 lbs Light DME
.5 lb Munich Light Malt
.25 lb Caravienne Malt

.75 oz Perle Hop Pellet 60 mins
.5 oz Saaz Dry Hop

6 gr Safale K-97 Dry Yeast

I haven't brewed yet so ideas and suggestions are more than welcome. This is only my 2nd partial mash.

Thanks - Ron

Ya - that's for sure. I'm hoping to put them away for at least a couple months. (hoping  )

Just pitched the yeast. I hit the O.G. pretty close - 1.082. This is gonna be the biggest brew I've made so far. Wound up using a full oz of Perle Hops for 60 mins and also used the whole 11.5 gr of K-97. Thanks to otg and crazybrody for the Qbrew and beersmith calculations. I wish I could post a picture of the hydrometer tube. After I drank half of it (lol) the other half seperated out like oil and water. Top half almost clear with a nice amber color, bottom half tan and cloudy. I've never seen anything like this!! Very cool. (I hope)
